Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TrackWorth ("the Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TrackWorth is a personal finance tracking tool that allows users to manually record asset balances, liabilities, financial goals, and transactions for the purpose of monitoring net worth over time. The Service is provided for informational and personal tracking purposes only.

3. Not Financial Advice

TrackWorth is not a licensed financial adviser, investment adviser, broker, or tax adviser. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. All calculations, projections, and scores (including the FIRE calculator, Financial Health Score, and debt projections) are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the basis for any financial decision.

You should consult a qualified professional before making any financial decisions. Past performance and projected figures are not guarantees of future results.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

5. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the operation of the Service

7. Subscription and Billing

The Free plan is available at no charge subject to usage limits described on the pricing page. Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Prices may change with 30 days' notice to registered users.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until that date.

No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, unused time, or accidental renewals. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@trackworth.co within 7 days of the charge and we will review it on a case-by-case basis.

Downgrading to the Free plan does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.

9. Data Accuracy

All financial data in the Service is entered manually by you. TrackWorth does not connect to your bank accounts and does not independently verify any data you enter. Exchange rates are sourced from third-party providers and may not reflect real-time market rates. We make no representations regarding the accuracy or completeness of any data displayed.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrackWorth shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or financial losses arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
